Reading and exporting your cut list

The planner writes the cut list and the optimizer makes it exact. Here is what each number means and every way to take it to the saw. It starts in StackDesign.

The number on the planning screen is an estimate

While you design, the sheet count is labeled an estimate on purpose. It is close enough to sanity-check a plan, but parts have not been laid on sheets yet. The exact counts exist only after nesting, and that is the optimizer's job.

Send to cut list

One click on Send to cut list hands the whole package - parts, materials, edgebanding - to the Cut List Optimizer in the same account. There is no CSV round-trip and no retyping, which is the point: retyped part sizes are how wrong cuts happen.

Getting it out of the optimizer

The sizes are what you cut

By the time a size reaches the diagram, the saw kerf and the edgebanding deductions are already handled. The number on the sheet is the number you set the fence to.
